The above link is to the Home Designer Software site. This software is published by Better Homes & Gardens & Chief Architect. The Home Designer Pro package allows for much more detail & accuracy than any other roof diagramming software package that I have found. It's learning curve is a bit sharp and the price is about $500, however, it more than pays for itself in that once it has been mastered there is virtually no roof that you can not diagram. If you plan to demo or purchase the software make sure you get Home Designer "Pro" and not merely Home Designer or you will be very disappointed. See link below for an example of a moderately complicated roof.
